Over the years I’ve participated in several complex IT projects—many of which succeeded—yet I’ve struggled to understand why some thrived while others failed or stalled, even when I had a front‑row participation seat. Recently, I discovered a YouTube vlog by Fredrick Christenson in which he proposed what he believes is the fundamental driver of project success. His insights resonate strongly with me, and I’m inclined to agree.
